History
The journey of Dr. Hina Hearing Institute is rooted in resilience, family legacy, and a passion for healthcare. The institute is named after Dr. Hina Shaikh, who was born with profound hearing loss. Through early diagnosis, dedicated therapy, and unwavering determination, she overcame these challenges and went on to become a qualified dentist — a living example that hearing loss does not define one’s potential.
Her father, Dr. Munir Shaikh, a distinguished ENT specialist, and her mother, Dr. Ismat Shaikh, a respected gynecologist, have both been pillars of Karachi’s medical community. Together, they managed Shaikh Medical Centre, a trusted healthcare facility established more than 40 years ago by FM Shaikh, father of Dr. Munir Shaikh. This rich medical heritage instilled in the family a deep commitment to quality care and community service.
In 2020, inspired by this legacy and motivated by personal experience, Mr. Mohsin Malik, husband of Dr. Hina Shaikh, founded Dr. Hina Hearing Institute. His vision was to create a specialized center that combined state-of-the-art hearing technology with compassionate, patient-centered care.
From its humble beginnings, the institute has grown into one of Karachi’s most trusted names in hearing healthcare, offering advanced diagnostic testing, rehabilitation services, hearing aid fittings, and community outreach programs. Today, it continues to serve as a beacon of hope and excellence, empowering people with hearing loss to live fuller, more connected lives.
